A Season Finale of Orchestral Colour and Storytelling

NLH ends the season on its largest and most colourful canvas.

The first half moves through Bach reimagined by Elgar, the atmospheric contemporary sound world of Australian composer Ella Macens’ The Space Between Stars, and the windswept drama of Ethel Smyth’s On the Cliffs of Cornwall.

The journey culminates in Ravel’s spectacular orchestration of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition — a musical gallery filled with vivid characters, striking images and some of the most brilliant orchestral colours in the repertoire.

A bold, immersive finale celebrating imagination, storytelling and the full power of the orchestra.
